plan_HousingStock is a point featureclass which aims to represent residential structures within the City of Bellingham, UGA and UGA Reserve Areas. Attributes indclude housing type, number of units, and estimated population.
The purpose of the plan_HousingStock data is to show the location and type of housing within the City, UGA and UGAR. With recent state legislation (such as HB 1110), being able to identify individual structures and their form are increasingly important for the city and reporting. Previous versions of this data set have rolled up housing units by parcel, wihch loses the individual forms found on the property. A one-time validation of city residential structures was the basis of this point feature class. Updates will be made monthly using finaled building permits (new and demolished units).
